Electrical Estimating Services and Takeoff

Our detailed electrical estimating and takeoff services are designed to meet the unique needs of your project, whether residential, commercial, or industrial. Our expert team ensures that every detail is covered, from material takeoffs to cost estimation, making sure you win every bid.

  • Wiring Takeoff: We estimate the total quantity of electrical wiring required, including wire types, gauges, and lengths based on the project’s blueprints.
  • Conduit and Raceway Takeoff: We quantify the type, size, and length of conduits, raceways, and other protective systems for electrical wiring.
  • Panels and Switchboards Takeoff: Production analysis of the number, size, and characteristics of electrical panels, circuit breakers, load centers, and switchboards.
  • Lighting Fixtures Takeoff: Quantification, classification, and location of lighting fixtures, interior, exterior, and emergency lighting.
  • Outlets, Switches, and Receptacles Takeoff: Quantification of the number and types of outlets, switches, and receptacles, and of specialized electrical outlets for specific conditions (e.g., waterproof outlets for outdoor use).
  • Grounding and Bonding Systems Takeoff: Defining the grounding and bonding systems needed, and providing proper grounding for safety and local regulatory compliance.
  • Electrical Boxes and Junction Boxes Takeoff: Determination of the number and characteristics of all the needed electrical boxes, junction boxes, and enclosures for wiring installations.
  • Material Cost Estimation: Providing accurate cost estimates for all materials involved in the project, including wires, conduit, electrical panels, switches, outlets, light fixtures, and more.
  • Labor cost Estimation: Predicting the labor hours for the different electrical jobs such as wiring, installation of panels, and fixture mounting. It is determined based on task complexity and number of electricians necessary.
  •  Special Tool, Machinery and Equipment Cost Estimation: Based on the additional cost of special tools, machinery and equipment needed to finish the electrical installation such as lifts, testing tools and specialized machinery.
  • Power Distribution Systems Cost Estimation: Costing out the high capital structure and associated transformers needed for your power project.
  •   Safety Systems Estimation: Including estimates for safety equipment, fire alarm systems, emergency lighting, and other critical safety measures related to the electrical infrastructure of your project.
  • Lighting Control Systems Estimation: Estimating the expense of sophisticated lighting control systems (e.g., dimming, sensor, and smart lighting installation).
  • Energy-efficient/green Electrical Design and Estimate: Creating estimates to support the purchase and installation of energy-efficient lighting and solar power systems and other green technologies that can lead to savings in energy use and operational costs. This also encompasses LED lighting, energy efficient electrical panels, and renewable energy systems.
  • Data and Communication System Estimation: Estimation of capital one-time costs associated with wiring data, communication equipment, telecommunication systems and IT-related electrical works.
  • Security and Alarm Systems Estimation: This refers to the cost estimation for the equipment needed for installation of security systems, such as surveillance cameras, access control systems, and fire alarms, as well as protective technologies.
  • HVAC Electrical Estimating: Estimating the electrical requirements for HVAC systems, including wiring, thermostats, electrical panels, and dedicated power supplies.
  • Industrial Electrical Estimating: For industrial and manufacturing projects, we provide detailed estimates for heavy-duty electrical systems, power distribution networks, machinery wiring, and control systems.
  • New Construction Projects: Accurate estimates for all electrical components involved in new construction, from basic wiring to advanced power distribution systems.
  • Rehabilitation/Retrofit Works: For renovations or improvements of the previous buildings we provide cost estimations for the replacement of obsolete electronic systems and installation of new elements and checking for current modern electrical regulations.
  • Tenant fit out and commercial construction: Providing as-built accounts of the electrical elements in tenant fit outs, office parks, retail malls and other commercial buildings.
  • Historical Building Restorations: For historical or heritage buildings, we provide estimating services that account for the preservation of the building’s architecture while incorporating modern electrical systems and compliance with updated codes.

Frequently Asked Questions

We offer electrical estimating services for residential, commercial, and industrial projects. They could include new build, renovation, additions and bespoke installations, e.g., lighting, fire alarm, data cabling, and systems for generating electrical energy.

Our estimates are very close, nearly always within about 1-3% of the actual cost of the project. We ensure that the latest estimating software and databases are employed to precisely estimate costs of materials, labor and overheads and avoid mistakes in the estimation process and thereby encourage cost effectiveness.

It depends on the scale and the complexity of a project. We can give estimations for such small – medium sized projects, 6 – 12 hours of time. Larger scale or more complex projects, however, do take a bit longer, but client deadlines are, of course, always prioritized.

Yes, all of our estimates are bid-ready and are presented in a format that is applicable for procurement use. We provide itemized itemization and pricing information to foster rapid, informed decision making among contractors and vendors.

For a start just let us know your project ideas, drawings, specs and any other needs. If, however, plans are lacking, we are both able to work with general designs and provide estimates based on the present information level.
